Chris Taylor
Chris founded Allan Taylor & Company with his wife, Barbara, in 2006 after the couple successfully sold their popular specialty foods micro-chain to an outside buyer. Having used a local business broker to assist with the process, Chris realized that most successful business owners require a higher level of service and expertise during the sale of a business than the average “Main Street” brokerage firm can provide. Chris started Allan Taylor with a vision to fill the gap between traditional business brokerage and investment banking, using his personal experience to offer superior results with an accessible approach.
In addition to gourmet foods, Chris has started businesses in a variety of industries, including durable medical equipment, data storage and custom machining. Before relocating to Northwest Arkansas with his family in 2003, Chris led business development in the wireless data division of Western Wireless Corporation (now part of the Verizon network), launching the company’s first wireless data portal to consumers.
Chris is an active member of the local small-business community, and is always looking for ways to contribute to the success of fellow business owners, in both life and business. In 2010 Chris founded the Apex Group of Northwest Arkansas, a peer support group for small business owners that meets bi-monthly.
Chris received a bachelor’s degree in Business from the University of Northern Colorado, and an MBA in Entrepreneurship from Seattle Pacific University. During his graduate studies Chris gained invaluable experience as a consultant to the U.S. Small Business Administration, where he worked with a number of companies at various stages of growth.
