Barbara Taylor
Barbara Taylor began her entrepreneurial journey after moving from Seattle to Northwest Arkansas in 2003. Seeing the need for an exceptional cup of coffee, she and Chris started the first mobile espresso business in the state of Arkansas. They successfully built the business into a popular micro-chain, and eventually sold it to an outside buyer. In her role as a business broker, M&A advisor and business valuation specialist, Barbara combines her first-hand experience as a selling owner with her extensive knowledge of the selling process to help business owners cash out and move on.
Prior to starting her first entrepreneurial venture, Barbara spent over a decade in the wireless telecommunications industry where she held roles in product marketing, brand management and marketing communications. Barbara also helped launch two venture-backed “dot com” startups in Seattle, one of which was acquired by American Lawyer Media.
Barbara is a nationally recognized author on the topics of selling, buying and valuing a small business. She spent three years as a blogger for the New York Times online feature “You’re the Boss – the Art of Running a Small Business.” Her work has also appeared in Forbes, Inc. Magazine, Entrepreneur, The Huffington Post, the Northwest Arkansas Business Journal, and Arkansas Money & Politics. CBS MoneyWatch listed Barbara as one of “7 People Every Entrepreneur Should Follow on Twitter”.
She is also an Honoree of the “Women in Business” Class of 2018, awarded by the Northwest Arkansas Business Journal.
Barbara received a bachelor’s degree in English Literature from Seattle Pacific University with a minor in Journalism, and an MBA from Seattle University with an emphasis on Marketing and Business Law.
